Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Multiligo Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), operating the website Retirement Abroad UK at www.retirementabroad.co.uk, collects, uses and protects personal data about visitors. We act as the data controller for personal data processed through this website.

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to personal data we collect when you visit or interact with www.retirementabroad.co.uk. It does not apply to third-party websites we link to — those sites have their own privacy notices and we recommend you read them.

2. The personal data we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

• Information you give us when you email us or use the contact form — your name, email address, the country or topic you name, and the contents of your message.
• Technical data automatically collected by our hosting provider when you visit the site — IP address, browser type and version, device, operating system, the pages you view, the date and time of access, and the referring URL. This is held in standard server logs for security and operational purposes.
• Cookie and similar technology data — see our Cookie Policy for full detail and your choices.
• Paid placements — the Site carries labelled advertising whose buttons open a WhatsApp chat with the advertiser. Anything you send in that chat goes to the advertiser, not to us, and is governed by the advertiser's and WhatsApp's own privacy notices. See our Advertising Disclosure.
• Wizard answers — the answers you give in the “Find My Country” wizard are processed entirely in your browser and never sent to us.

We do not ask for, and do not knowingly collect, special-category personal data (such as health, religion, political opinions or biometric data) or any financial account details.

3. How we use your personal data and the legal basis

4. Who we share personal data with

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing purposes. We share limited data only with the service providers we need to run the site:

• Hosting and CDN provider — processes server logs and traffic strictly to deliver pages to your browser.
• Email provider — when you write to info@multiligo.com, your email is delivered through standard business email infrastructure.
• Resend (email delivery) — when you submit the contact form or a lead form on the Site, your name, email address and message are sent through Resend, Inc., a transactional email service acting as our processor, and delivered to the editorial inbox. Resend holds the message only for as long as needed to deliver it and to keep its delivery logs.
• Analytics (Google Analytics 4) — only if you consent through the banner, usage statistics are processed by Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) so we can see which pages are useful. No analytics cookies are set unless you accept them; the cookies involved are listed in our Cookie Policy.

We may also disclose personal data where we are required to by law, by a regulator, or to protect our rights and the rights of users.

5. International transfers

Multiligo Ltd is established in Turkey. When personal data of UK or EEA visitors is transferred to us, we rely on appropriate safeguards under UK GDPR (the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum, or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where relevant). You may request a copy of the safeguards in place by emailing info@multiligo.com.

6. How long we keep personal data

• Enquiry emails: retained for up to 24 months after the last contact, then deleted unless we are required to keep them for longer.
• Server logs: typically held for up to 90 days for security and diagnostic purposes.
• Analytics data: aggregated and retained for up to 26 months.
• Consent records: kept for as long as your consent is active plus a short evidentiary period.

7. Your rights under UK GDPR

If you are in the UK or the EEA, you have the right to:

• Be informed about how we process your personal data (this notice);
• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Have inaccurate personal data corrected;
• Have personal data erased (the “right to be forgotten”) in certain circumstances;
• Restrict or object to processing;
• Data portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
• Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office — ico.org.uk, helpline 0303 123 1113).

To exercise any of these rights, email info@multiligo.com. We will respond within one month and may ask you for information to verify your identity.

8. Security

We use HTTPS across the site, restrict administrative access to authorised staff and review our hosting provider's technical and organisational measures. No transmission over the internet is ever 100% secure — but if you believe an incident has affected your data, please tell us immediately.

9. Children

Our website is aimed at adults considering retirement abroad. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in law or our practices. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page shows the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 14 days.
